Guy Mackenzie with Jet Harris (below), founder member of the Shadows (Drifters), asking him if he’d ever used a Supersound or knew Alan Wootton. Jet’s first electric bass was a Framus Star bass, identical to the example branded “Besson”, in my Collection!

The Saints formed in 1963 by Joe Meek as backing band for Heinz. Their version of “Wipe out” was reckoned by many to be better than the Surfaris!
