Although this was Fender’s short lived answer to the Gibson 335, a Fender Coronado 11 was used by Elvis Presley in the film “Speedway” (with Fender pick-ups)!

Designed by Kurt Cobain comprising features from Fender’s Jaguar (Jag) and Mustang (stang) guitars. I bought this from a ‘player’ who hated the colour so much he never took the tag off and couldn’t wait to get rid of it – to me! But I love the style!

Built in 1986, made in Japan and was Fender’s answer to the Explorer and Jackson’s Randy Rhodes – not a commercial success but rare and seriously underrated.

Dating from about 1963 and Reg Watkins designed, this is the 3 “toaster” pick-up version of the classic British made Watkins Brothers guitars that launched the careers of many UK musicians.
